We're Hiring! Remote Graphic Designer/Marketing Coordinator

The Be A Heart Graphic Designer/Marketing Coordinator position reports to the Founder of Be A Heart and is fully remote with an ability for a San Antonio resident to work at the BAH studio. Key responsibilities and their applications are described below.

In all things, it is expected that the Graphic Designer/Marketing Coordinator will seek to

1) demonstrate a willingness to be a team player, considering the company's best interest in all work-related decisions, and take initiative to work above and beyond expectations

2) maintain good working relationships with all employees, contractors and members of management and

3) exemplify Be A Heart Core Values in all interactions with co-workers, vendors, etc.

It is believed that these three key responsibilities will affect and inform decisions to be made in all other job areas.

Job Responsibilities:

Graphic Designer (75%)

  • Designing website landing pages, emails, coordinated social posts, blog posts, and other marketing materials
  • Collaborate on packaging design when necessary
  • Planning concepts by studying relevant brand and product information and materials
  • Illustrating concepts by designing examples of art arrangement, size, type size and style and submitting for approval
  • Coordinating and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders as necessary
  • Communicating with stakeholders about layout and design
  • Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements of existing materials when necessary

Marketing Coordinator (25%)

  • Project management for marketing initiatives across the brand
  • Meet monthly with founder, social media team, and copywriter to coordinate efforts and oversee full execution 
  • Coordinating/Communicating with outside agencies including but not limited to digital media, social, print shops, PR, etc.
  • Coordinating components of company trade shows
  • Coordinate photoshoots
  • Administrative Support
  • Additional marketing projects and tasks

Job Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or higher in Graphic Design or related field
  • One or more year's experience working in Graphic Design or related field
  • Demonstrable Graphic Design skills with strong portfolio
  • Proficiency in multiple design software/tools including Adobe Creative Suite
  • Willingness and ability to learn new software/tools as necessary
  • Understand and stay in line with the Be A Heart branding
  • Strong eye for visual composition
  • Ability to give and receive constructive criticism
  • Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, advertisements, and multimedia design
  • Creative ideas of how to expand the Be A Heart brand and get people excited about Be A Heart initiatives
  • Project management skills/experience
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, prioritizing, time management and follow-up skills
  • Punctual and detail oriented
  • Positive, go-getter attitude
  • The ability to motivate and get results through others
  • Ability to effectively prepare and present information and respond to questions from groups of internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent customer service focus and professionalism; results driven
  • Ability to work under pressure with time constraints
