Where do you need to be led?
On Sunday I went to Mass by myself because Luce needed to go down for a nap and Frances had a fever. I hadn’t been to Mass alone in a really long time so I was relishing in it all. And then my husband called me and texted me “we need help.” I thought maybe Frances hadn’t settled her tears from me leaving and I was being beckoned back. When I got there, I saw the blood. Luce had fallen and bitten through her lip. She needed her mama and I am her. I held her and as I rocked her, I reminded myself that God is also found in my home. I reminded myself that God sees me and knows my heart. I reminded myself that I serve God in caring for my children.
And isn’t that the point of what we make here at Be A Heart? We make things to remind you and to remind me to pay attention to God’s presence in it all.
In 2013, the year that I got sober (10 years ago!!!) I was having to entirely recalibrate my life. I was coming out of the darkness to be given new life. I had to make a lot of big changes and I knew that there was more to life than I was currently experiencing. I turned to the Christmas Novena, which starts on November 30, and I prayed for clarity in direction. Be A Heart, as it is today, is very much a result of that prayer.
So here I am, ten years later, with a similar cry asking God for clarity in where I am being called to grow. How can I better serve my family, my business, and God.? I have no idea what the answer is, but I trust that I will be led to it.
What questions are sitting on your heart? Where do you need to be led? Breathe in God’s presence today and trust that the answers will come if you ask.
A few things for joy this week:
Thursday is the feast of Blessed Carlo Acutis. You can learn more about him and find a few fun simple ways to celebrate here.
On Wednesday, I will be joining Many Hail Marys at a Time to pray the rosary! Would love if you tune in!
All Saints’ Day is only a few weeks away and we updated the celebration guide for this year. You can download it for free here!
We soft launched our Christmas pajamas (in two styles!) after getting so many questions about them. You can send the link to grandma. ;)
And the most exciting is that we also have matching women’s pajamas coming, too! (Here is the link to the matching joggers!). They are available for pre-order because they are taking a little bit longer than the children’s pajamas.
