Mary's Baby Shower Resources

I had the idea to throw Mary a baby shower two years ago when I was pregnant with my first daughter. I had just had my own baby shower and we were given so many gifts to help welcome our new child into the world. As we all know, babies are expensive and I got to thinking about women who are pregnant and unsupported. They may have been struggling to make ends meet prior to getting pregnant and are scared about what a new baby will mean. They may be homeless and living in a women’s shelter. They may be working two jobs and caring for older children and not sure how they’ll afford diapers. And very likely, these women won’t receive a baby shower with the gifts that come with it.
So that idea is that we celebrate with friends (or with our children in our home) to celebrate Mary, prepare for Jesus’s birth, and help those in need this Advent season.
Please make it your own. Do as little or as much as you want. I have some simple ideas that you can print and an invitation that you can edit with your own information.
You can invite people you personally know for your gathering or if you would like to open it up to people that you may not know and need help spreading the word, please email hello@beaheart.com with the details of your event. We will list them all on our website so that others can find you!
If you need ideas of where to donate baby items, I have included a list. If you can’t find something on the list local to you, a quick google search should help.
